 Anti Retroviral Therapy (ART) |
In order to provide care, support and treatment to people living with HIV/AIDS, Anti Retroviral Therapy centers, Link ART centers and Community Care Centers are working in the State.
The free ART initiative was launched on 1st April 2004.
There are 25835 PLHA registered at ART centers of Rajasthan. The total 6 ART centers are functioning in the state which provides ARV doing to 9087 PLHAs (As per report of Jan 11)
- S.M.S Medical College, Jaipur in 2005
- Dr. S.N Medical College, Jodhpur in 2006
- R.N.T Medical College, Udaipur in 2007
- P.B.M Medical College, Bikaner in 2007
- New Medical College Kota in 2009.
- JLN Medical College, Ajmer in 2010
Five new ART centres are under process at Alwar, Pali, Sikar, Bhilwara & Barmer

Services available at these ART centers (free of cost) are as :-
- Counseling
- Investigation
- CD-4 Test
- 4 ARV Drugs
- O.I Drugs
- Knowledge of Social beneficial Scheme
- Condoms
- IEC Material
- Knowledge about network people
- Referral to CCC & other related units

To reduce the distance and save the time of PLHA concept of Link ART occurs ARV Drugs are provided to eligible PLHA at these LACs. LACs are linked with main ART centers. LACs are established in different districts in Phased manners. At Present 21 link ART Centers are functioning in the state. The human resource at these ART centers are as per guidelines. Five Link ART will soon be converted in fully functional ART after few months.
