TB-HIV Co-ordination

Current situation
State TB/HIV Coordination Committee has been established in the state. In all 33 Districts TB/HIV Co-ordination Committee has been established but still these committees are not meeting at regular intervals.
Tuberculosis is one of the  opportunistic infections and at present in only one TB sanatorium ICTC is functional. Therefore, ICTC centers and TB (DOTS) officer has to work in close coordination in other districts. Supervision and monitoring needs to examine the no. of cross referred every month in each facility. Analysis of the six months data indicates that cross referral has slowly increased from 5 to 12 units. Further, it has been envisaged that there is a need to intensify the efforts for cross referrals.
